Children's writer and poet
Hi, I'm Ian Brownlie and I write things. Sometimes I stop writing things and just stare out of the window. Occasionally, I will stop both doing AND thinking about writing so that I can make some food, talk to my family or walk the dogs. Though often I will walk the dogs while both thinking about writing AND doing actual writing, on the notes app of my phone. And if none of that applies, I'll be sleeping. There, I think that covers everything.
I live with my wife, two children and two white, fluffy dogs in Marlow, Bucks (UK). My book Hero Town has been longlisted for the Times/Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition and Searchlight's Best Novel Opening award. I've had children's poetry published in The Dirigible Balloon, Tyger Tyger, Little Thoughts Press and The Toy magazine.
